Australian production company WTFN Group is merging its television distribution unit Fred Media with its digital branch Radar, establishing a single integrated studio operation.
The combined division will operate under the banner Radar Studios, effectively replacing both individual brands. The restructured outfit will make its international market debut at MIPCOM Cannes next month, according to Deadline.
Derek Dyson, who serves as Chief Commercial Officer for WTFN, has been appointed to lead the new unit.
The consolidation brings WTFN's global program licensing and digital content strategies under a single management structure. The move aligns linear rights sales directly with creator-led and multi-platform digital publishing.
For mid-sized international producers, blending traditional television program sales with digital-first monetization has become a practical necessity as legacy broadcast licensing budgets tighten. As Hollywood Tomorrow observes, independent media groups are increasingly streamlining rights management to extract value across AVOD, FAST channels, and social platforms alongside traditional windowing deals.
