Wim Wenders has unveiled his latest non-fiction feature, "From Inside Out," holding its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The project turns the German filmmaker's 3D lenses toward Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.

According to a report by Variety, the documentary tracks the extensive design and construction phase of the David Geffen Galleries at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Zumthor is the lead architect behind the high-profile, long-gestating overhaul of the museum's Miracle Mile campus.

Actor and producer Brad Pitt played a key role in getting the project off the ground, assisting Wenders in securing the necessary backing and access to chronicle the building process over several years.

## Spatial Cinema and Cultural Scrutiny

Zumthor's LACMA expansion has faced prolonged public debate and municipal scrutiny in Southern California, giving Wenders' documentary distinct cultural weight. The director previously demonstrated his mastery of volumetric space in the Oscar-nominated dance documentary "Pina," using stereoscopic 3D as a narrative tool rather than a commercial gimmick.

The Venice debut places Wenders back in the festival spotlight as distributor interest builds around specialty non-fiction titles, particularly those backed by notable creative pairings and major institutional subjects.
