Walmart is preparing a major update to its proprietary vendor analytics ecosystem, scheduling a series of functional enhancements for its Scintilla data platform next year, according to a report from Digiday.

Revealed during the Inspire conference hosted by first-party analytics arm Walmart Data Ventures, the pending rollout will broaden supplier visibility by incorporating third-party marketplace metrics alongside standard direct-to-consumer retail numbers.

The upcoming release will introduce bespoke analytics dashboards and automated alert tools. These features are designed to help brand partners monitor consumer demand patterns and inventory shifts with greater precision.

Suppliers will also receive an expanded version of Marty, Walmart's specialized conversational AI agent. The upgraded assistant is configured to deliver deeper analytical answers and operational guidance directly within the Scintilla workspace.

Operationally, the retail giant plans to connect the central Scintilla software directly to Walmart replenishment systems, while establishing a closer technical pipeline to the Scintilla In-Store supplier application.

For entertainment licensing teams and merchandise partners navigating vast retail footprints, granular point-of-sale intelligence remains vital. Hollywood Tomorrow notes that bridging AI forecasting with automated inventory restocking allows consumer product divisions to respond more rapidly to entertainment-driven sales surges while cutting down on fulfillment delays.
