AI video platform Synthesia has launched an interactive simulation tool dubbed Roleplay Sessions, promoting the feature through a digital exercise based on the classic pitch challenge to sell a pen.
According to an announcement from the company, participants were offered a payout of 50 British pounds, equivalent to approximately 68 dollars, to test their negotiation skills against the conversational system.
The feature represents an effort by Synthesia to expand its product line beyond pre-rendered synthetic video generation. Instead of delivering scripted monologues, the platform is moving toward real-time interactive avatars capable of responding dynamically to spoken prompts.
## Shifting Toward Conversational Workflows
Synthetic media companies have faced growing pressure to demonstrate practical enterprise utility. While initial commercial interest centered on marketing assets and localized corporate training videos, software providers are increasingly targeting live simulation environments.
By packaging the launch around a gamified sales scenario, Synthesia is evaluating user interaction patterns and stress-testing dialogue responsiveness in structured professional settings.
The initiative highlights how synthetic media firms are attempting to transition from passive video rendering software into full-stack conversational AI providers for corporate clients.
