Netflix Unveils First Footage of Jacob Tremblay in 'Unabomber'

Netflix has released the initial trailer for Unabomber, an upcoming biographical thriller focusing on the early life and psychological unraveling of domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski.

Jacob Tremblay stars in the central role, tracing Kaczynski's path from a 16-year-old prodigy attending Harvard University to the criminal mastermind behind a deadly decades-long bombing campaign.

The feature brings together a notable supporting cast that includes Russell Crowe, Shailene Woodley, Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg and Marc Menchaca.

Janus Metz directs the project, which explores Kaczynski's exposure to controversial psychological experiments during his undergraduate tenure that contributed to his later radicalization.

True-crime narratives and psychological character studies remain reliable engagement drivers for subscription video platforms. Netflix continues to lean into dramatizations of high-profile historical figures to anchor its mid-budget feature slate.

Release scheduling and rollout details for the film are expected from the streamer in the coming weeks as promotional activity gains momentum.
