Netflix Greenlights 'The Inbetweeners 3' With Original Cast Returning

Netflix is reviving the hit British comedy franchise *The Inbetweeners* for a third feature film, bringing back the entire central cast, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Original stars Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will reprise their respective roles as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper.

Franchise creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are back at the helm to guide the new installment. Cameras are scheduled to start rolling on the production this Monday.

The project marks the first feature outing for the quartet in over a decade. Following three successful seasons on Channel 4's E4 between 2008 and 2010, the franchise transitioned to cinemas with *The Inbetweeners Movie* in 2011 and *The Inbetweeners 2* in 2014, both of which delivered massive commercial returns at the U.K. box office.

For Netflix, locking in established British intellectual property provides a low-risk, high-recognition asset designed to drive subscriber engagement in key international markets, leaning into proven comedic IP that retains significant cultural footprint among millennial audiences.
