Jimmy Kimmel Secures Back-to-Back Game Show Host Emmy for ABC

Jimmy Kimmel has earned another trophy at the Emmy Awards, taking top honors in the Outstanding Host for a Game Show category for his work on ABC's revival of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

The victory marks Kimmel's second consecutive win in the host category, repeating his achievement from last year for the same prime-time franchise, according to Deadline.

Kimmel faced a competitive field of genre veterans to secure the prize. The late-night anchor ultimately prevailed over nominees including Steve Harvey of Celebrity Family Feud and Ken Jennings of Jeopardy!

In the program category, syndicated staple Jeopardy! maintained its strong awards trajectory by capturing the Emmy for Outstanding Game Show once again.

The repeated wins for established broadcast formats underline the Television Academy's persistent reliance on veteran network properties, even as unscripted programming expands rapidly across digital and streaming platforms. For Disney and ABC, Kimmel's continued success in prime time reaffirms the value of pairing late-night talent with legacy game show IP.
