Hulu has canceled its unscripted dating format "Love Overboard" after a single season, Variety confirmed.
The reality series was executive produced by media entrepreneur and podcaster Alex Cooper. Former "The Bachelorette" star and "The Traitors" contestant Gabby Windey served as the program's on-screen host.
Set aboard a luxury vessel, the production tracked 22 singles navigating romantic pairings while competing in various physical and social challenges to secure special access and privileges on the yacht.
The cancellation illustrates the increasingly tight leash streamers are keeping on unscripted development. While reality dating formats remain relatively cost-effective to produce, platform executives have grown less patient with freshman entries that fail to capture immediate viral traction or high completion rates among subscribers.
Cooper continues to build out her broader slate of digital and television projects through her media ventures, while Hulu adjusts its non-fiction pipeline for upcoming cycles.
