Duane "Keffe D" Davis has rejected culpability in the fatal 1996 shooting of rap icon Tupac Shakur, asserting that he harbors no anxiety over the prospect of spending the rest of his life incarcerated.
Speaking from Las Vegas with The Hollywood Reporter, Davis disputed the characterization of his involvement in the long-investigated homicide. "I'm not no f***ing killer," Davis told the publication, downplaying concerns regarding a permanent stay in prison.
Davis doubled down on his self-assessment during the interview. "I'm a good man. I'm a good person," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
## Decades-Long Investigation
Davis was taken into custody after decades of speculation surrounding the September 1996 drive-by attack on the Las Vegas Strip, which fatally injured Shakur and wounded Death Row Records executive Marion "Suge" Knight. The arrest marked the only formal criminal charges filed in direct connection to the shooting since it occurred nearly thirty years ago.
The Shakur case remains a focal point for the entertainment business, having spawned an extensive catalog of documentary features, podcasts, investigative specials and scripted series. Davis' public remarks arrive as prosecutors and defense attorneys navigate ongoing proceedings in Nevada state court.
Despite the gravity of the legal fight, Davis remains publicly defiant regarding the state's case and his personal character as the judicial process moves forward.
