David Bruckner to Direct 'Smile 3' as Parker Finn Shifts to Producing

Parker Finn, who created the property and wrote and directed both the 2022 original and its 2024 follow-up, will remain closely involved with the production. Finn developed and pitched the foundational framework for the third installment and will serve as a producer on the film.

Bruckner brings substantial genre credentials to the project, having previously directed *The Night House* and the 2022 *Hellraiser* reboot. His hiring marks the first time an outside director takes the reins of the commercially successful horror property.
